We are a company that belongs to the Meat Sector and we are located in Celrà, a town in the Province of Girona, 50 km from the border with France and between 50 and 100 km from maritime loading docks.
All the animals that are processed here are the result of genetic and nutritional studies as well as market demands. This ensures maximum consistency and integrity of the meats.
We started commercial activity as a cutting plant in October 2011 as a company which was created and designed with an export vision ensuring that work and personnel are capable of meeting global sanitation and hygiene standards.
Our quality assurance system is based on ISO regulations, having implemented a HACCP system (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points).
Volume: 5,200 pigs/day, 5 days a week of production with capacity to increase up to 7,000 pigs/day.

OLOT MEATS GROUP is one of the most prominent groups in the meat Spanish meat sector, made up of three leading companies. OLOT MEATS S.A., CÀRNIQUES DE JUIÀ S.A., CÀRNIQUES CELRÀ, S.L., All together they boast a current production of 14,000 pigs per day and are located in the province of Girona, Northeast Spain. Our sites are equipped with the most modern facilities and we implement high-end quality management systems, which backs up our production processes and guarantees the safety of our products. A great team of professionals, as well as a group official veterinarians supervise and control the entire production process, from the arrival of the live animals (control ante-mortem), sacrifice, carcass quality, post-mortem control, carcass and entrails refrigeration, cutting, packaging and refrigeration or freezing for subsequent dispatch to the customer.
Our system of traceability management provides comprehensive understanding of the origin of each one of our products. From the farm, up to the final product, which in turn gives total assurance that all the production chain’s information is accounted for.

We ensure that the customer’s needs and expectations are identified and converted into requirements met in their entirety to achieve customer satisfaction including legal and regulatory provision.
The sanitary level of production is priority and therefore the company works for the distribution of a safe and legal product.

Càrniques Celrà S.L., will invest 18 million Euros (EUR) between this year and the next one to extend the company, to double its area and will create 50 new jobs. The bulk of the work will be four refrigeration stores with capacity to hold up to 18,000 tons of frozen product.
The meat native to Girona has recently obtained approval to export to Mexico and China and will boost exports to Asia. In fact, it already ships up to fifteen containers by sea on a daily basis. “Its culinary culture greatly appreciates the small and by products such as bones, ears, feet and hands, which are sold in the market places”, specifies the CEO of Càrniques Celrà S.L., Xavier Roca. The company currently has 325 workers. Càrniques Celrà SL, belongs to the company Olot Meats Group, which also groups Càrniques de Juià and the slaughter house of the Garrotxa.
Càrniques Celrà sl, is the reflection of the muscle of the meat industry in the Girona region. Specialized in pork – like the rest of the group – the cutting company currently processes 5,000 animals per day. The plant occupies 13,217 square meters in the industrial area of the municipality, an area that will double within a year when the municipality, an area that will double within a year when the expansion that is already taking shape together with the current facilities comes into operation.
The new warehouse represents an investment of 18 million Euros and at this time 60% of the construction has been completed. Inside there will be four large cold storage warehouses, with a capacity for 12,000 pallets, which will allow to store a stock of up to 18,000 tons of frozen product.
In addition, a new -40 ºC, freezing tunnel will also be built, exclusively for boxed pork, with the capacity to refrigerate 60 tons of product per day. The work is complemented by a new packaging room, which will be where the 50 new employees hired by the meat company from Girona will work.
